Terbinafine Spray is an antifungal medicine used to treat skin infections caused by fungus or yeast. The spray format is easy to apply and helps cool and soothe the skin while fighting the infection. It is most commonly used for Athlete’s Foot and Ringworm.
This spray is effective against several common skin issues:
- Athlete’s Foot: Itching, stinging, and burning between the toes or on the soles of the feet.
- Ringworm: A red, itchy, circular rash on the body or limbs.
- Jock Itch: An itchy, red rash in the groin area.
- Sweat Rash: Discolored patches on the skin caused by fungal overgrowth.
For the best results and to stop the fungus from coming back, follow these simple steps:
- Clean & Dry: Wash the infected area with mild soap and pat it completely dry. Fungus loves moisture!
- Spray: Hold the bottle a few inches away and spray enough to wet the affected skin and the small area around it.
- Frequency: Use it once or twice daily (usually for 1 week) as directed on the package.
- Don’t Stop Early: Even if your skin looks better, finish the full treatment time to make sure the fungus is completely gone.
- Wash your hands: Always wash your hands after touching the infected area or applying the spray so you don’t spread the fungus to other parts of your body.
- Keep it clean: Wear clean socks every day and avoid sharing towels or clothes with others during treatment.
- Let skin breathe: Avoid wearing tight shoes or synthetic clothing that makes you sweat.
Terbinafine spray is generally very safe, but please keep the following in mind:
- External use only: Do not use it in your mouth, eyes, or nose.
- Stinging: If you apply it to cracked or broken skin, you may feel a slight, temporary sting.
- Allergies: Stop using the spray if you develop a new rash, swelling, or severe itching.
- Pregnancy: Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
