Each tablet of Erastapex Co 10/40mg contains a synergistic combination of two antihypertensive agents:
- Olmesartan Medoxomil (40mg): An Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB) that prevents blood vessels from narrowing.
- Amlodipine (10mg): A Calcium Channel Blocker (CCB) that relaxes the muscles of your heart and blood vessels.
This medication is primarily indicated for:
- Treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure).
- Patients whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled by Olmesartan or Amlodipine monotherapy.
- Reducing the risk of cardiovascular complications such as strokes and myocardial infarction (heart attacks).
Always follow the specific instructions provided by your healthcare professional:
- Frequency: Usually taken once daily.
- Method: May be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
- Consistency: Try to take your dose at the same time every day to maintain a steady level in your bloodstream.
Common Side Effects: Dizziness, headache, fatigue, or swelling of the ankles/feet (edema).
Contraindications:
- Pregnancy Warning: Use during pregnancy can cause injury or death to the fetus. Discontinue immediately if pregnancy is detected.
