Drospinetta 4 mg is a progestogen-only pill (POP) used to prevent pregnancy. Unlike combined pills, it contains no estrogen, making it an alternative for women who are breastfeeding or sensitive to estrogen.

Drospinetta prevents pregnancy through several mechanisms:

• Ovulation Inhibition: It primarily works by preventing the release of an egg from the ovaries.
• Cervical Mucus: It thickens the mucus in the cervix, making it difficult for sperm to reach an egg.
• Uterine Lining: It alters the lining of the uterus to prevent a fertilized egg from implanting.

Daily Routine: Consistency is vital for the effectiveness of the progestogen-only pill.

• Dosage: Take one tablet daily at the same time each day for 28 consecutive days.
• Sequence: Follow the arrows on the blister pack to ensure you stay on track.
• No Break: Start a new pack immediately after finishing the previous one; there is no “pill-free” week.
