Catafast 50mg Sachets (Diclofenac Potassium) – Rapid Pain Relief
Catafast is a fast-acting nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) containing 50mg of Diclofenac Potassium. Unlike standard tablets, the sachet powder dissolves in water to ensure the active ingredient is absorbed rapidly by the body.
It works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, the natural chemicals responsible for signaling pain, fever, and inflammation.
Catafast sachets are used for the short-term treatment of acute pain and inflammation, including:
Dental Pain: Fast relief after dental procedures or toothaches.
Migraine Attacks: Reduces the intensity of migraine symptoms.
Menstrual Cramps (Dysmenorrhea): Effective for monthly period pain.
Musculoskeletal Injuries: Relief for back pain, sprains, and muscle aches.
Post-Operative Recovery: Manages inflammation following surgery.
For the best results, follow these administration guidelines:
Preparation: Empty the contents of one sachet into a half glass (approx. 100ml) of plain, non-carbonated water.
Stir & Drink: Stir well and drink the entire solution immediately.
Standard Dosage: Adults usually take 50mg (one sachet) 2 to 3 times daily.
Maximum Dose: Do not exceed 150mg per day (3 sachets) unless specifically directed by a physician for migraine treatment (up to 200mg).
With Food: It is generally recommended to take it with or after food to protect the stomach lining.
While effective, Catafast may cause side effects in some users:
Common Side Effects: Nausea, dizziness, heartburn, stomach upset, or headache.
Precautions: Consult a doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers, asthma, high blood pressure, or kidney/liver issues.
Interactions: Avoid use with other NSAIDs (like Ibuprofen or Aspirin) or blood thinners unless prescribed.
Pregnancy: Do not use Catafast during the last three months of pregnancy as it may harm the unborn baby.
Store below 30°C in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
Keep out of reach of children.
