Bisolvon contains the active ingredient bromhexine hydrochloride, which functions as a mucolytic. It thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) to help clear chest congestion and treat productive (chesty) coughs associated with respiratory conditions like bronchitis, the common cold, and flu.
- Adults (and children over 14 years): 1 tablet (8 mg) three times daily. The total daily dose may be increased in the initial treatment stages if necessary.
- Children (6 to 14 years): 1 tablet (8 mg) two times daily.
- Children (under 6 years): Tablets are generally not recommended due to dosing difficulties; the syrup form is more appropriate for younger children.

- Use with Caution: Individuals with a history of stomach ulcers or liver/kidney problems should consult a doctor before use.
- Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: It is generally not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
