The Nicorette Invisi 10 mg patch is a semi-transparent, 16-hour transdermal patch that provides a continuous, controlled dose of nicotine to help relieve cravings and withdrawal symptoms when quitting or cutting down smoking.
This strength is generally used as a final step in a step-down program or for lighter smokers.
Product Details and Usage
- Usage: The patch is designed to be worn for 16 hours during waking hours (applied in the morning and removed at bedtime). It should not be worn while sleeping.
- Dose: Each patch contains 1.75 mg of nicotine per cm², releasing a nominal 10 mg of nicotine over 16 hours.
- Application: Apply to a clean, dry, hairless area of skin, such as the chest, upper arm, or hip. The application site should be rotated daily to prevent skin irritation.
- Target User: It is the third and final step in the Nicorette step-down program. Lighter smokers (less than 10 cigarettes a day) are often recommended to start with the 15mg patch (Step 2) and then move to the 10mg patch (Step 3).
- Side Effects: Common side effects include mild skin reactions (itching, rash), headache, dizziness, and nausea.
- Disposal: Used patches still contain residual nicotine and must be disposed of carefully by folding the sticky sides together, placing in the original pouch, and keeping out of the reach of children and pets.
