Active Ingredients
Nifuroxazide
Oral Nitrofuran antibiotic used to treat diarrhea and colitis.
Indications
Recommended Dosage:
- Treating acute diarrhea of bacterial origin, especially when there are no signs of a systemic infection like fever.
- Reducing stomach and intestinal inflammation.
- Ensuring a rapid clinical response and helping reduce dehydration effects.
- Treating traveler’s diarrhea, also known as “Mummy tummy”.
- Addressing chronic diarrhea.
Important Notes:
- Antinal treatment does not replace dietary restrictions and/or rehydration, which may be needed based on the severity of the diarrhea, the patient’s age, and overall condition.
- Rehydration, either oral or intravenous, is particularly important in cases of severe diarrhea or other complicating factors.
- The duration of treatment is typically limited to 3 days in adults.

- Hypersensitivity to nifuroxazide or any other ingredients in the medication is a contraindication
